A little about my bikes


One of the joys of living in the city of Chicago is the ability to ride a bike during the spring, summer, and autumn (and sometimes winter). I have two beautiful Bridgestone bikes that I found used around the midwest.

2012 Shopping list for Spring biking prep:

  1. Teflon-based bike oil
  2. Medium-weight bike grease
  3. Degreaser
  4. Sandpaper
  5. Black spray paint
I will definitely try to post pictures and stories from this time period we are working, since this could be sort of funny--at least in hindsight. In addition to usual seasonal tuneups, we need to take care of some scratching/rusting on the touring bike.
